On January 16th, 1987, in Atwerp (Belgium, Kipling was born. Created by three friends, Vincent Haverbeke, Paul Van De Velde and Xavier Kegels, did not take long for the innovative idea of mixing polyamide (nylon), design and fun became one of the most casual and known brands in the whole world. The inspiration for the name was by author Rudyard Kipling, one of the greatest history accountants of the world and author of "The Jungle Book". The book, which tells the story of the wolf boy and depicts the irreverent joyous behavior of monkeys, was also an inspiration when choosing the mascot. The little monkey, besides a keychain, became a Kipling's trademark and is recognized in the whole world. Oh! And look how cool, in honor of the collaborators, the little monkeys bear their names.
